And The Baby Boomers And Generation X Will Lead Them!

And the Baby Boomers And Generation X Will Lead Them!

I am a proud member of the Baby Boomers! Born at the tail end of the generational cohort, it spans the birth years 1946 to 1964. The birth ages of the Generation X cohort cover the years 1965 to 1980. We overcame the financial turbulence after September 11, 2001. We bounced back after 18 months of the Great Recession of 2007-9. We are survivors. Both groups are survivors.

We are known for our strong work ethic and our loyalty. We toil long hours until the job is done. We think well on our feet and are creative on the fly. We are also not afraid to make the important decisions and then implement them while making modifications as needed. We never give up. We are as constant as the Northern Star. We understand what it means to sacrifice and do without for an important cause. We are loyal to a fault and we know how to empathize with others. We still have a conscience. Most of us also believe in the goodness of mankind and also in a higher power.

It will take the combined efforts of all of the 6 generational cohorts to keep the United States unified, strong and free. The current cohorts are Greatest Generation, Silent Generation, Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials, Generation Z and Generation Alpha.  However, it will be up to the Baby Boomers and Generation X members to provide their leadership and mentoring skills so that we can prepare the other cohorts for the turbulent times that are coming.

Our primary objective is to set the wheels in motion for these grassroots celebrations of unity across the United States that are far deeper than our political differences. The celebrations will cover these 11 areas that unify all of us:

1. Our love and devotion to a higher power.

2. Our love of self.

3. Our love of family.

4.  Our love of friends.

5. Our love of community and the groups that we are a part of.

6. Our love of sense of accomplishment at work and in service to others.

7. Our love of city, state and country.

8. Our love of the freedoms guaranteed in the Bill of Rights of our U.S. Constitution.

9. Our love of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

10. Our thankfulness that we live in one of the greatest countries of all time.

11. Our love of peace.

This initial group that helps to set up these grassroots celebrations of unity should also have members that are social media savvy. While we need a few other members that are experts in fundraising, we also need participants that are experienced in income generation.  I have developed several great potential income streams over the years. However, this is an area where “the more the merrier” is the best.  If we are successful in keeping the United States strong, free and unified in the areas that matter most, the income streams can be used to buttress the retirement savings of the Baby Boomers and Generation X members. This is because these cohorts suffered the most through the financial turbulence of September 11, 2001, the Great Recession of 2007 – 9 and also the Covid Pandemic.
We also need to create a series of top secret “think tanks”. Several of the special groups should concentrate on averting or delaying for as long as possible anything that can cause major harm to our country and to We the People. If war or conflict are unavoidable, we need several other think tanks to cover all possible scenarios. In the process, we need to teach military strategy and tactics related to gorilla warfare to as many people as possible. This is in case our professional armies are annihilated through the use of tactical nuclear weapons or through biological warfare by our enemies.

Finally, we also need to come up with think tanks that can set up exit strategies to protect as many citizens as possible in a probable post nuclear world. These locations need to be as far away from North America, Europe, Middle East and Asia as possible. In fact, the areas south of the equator will be the best places to set up.  These groups should also set up plans to save as many of our historical, cultural and religious relics as possible.

In conclusion, I remember the words of a visionary business professor at Judson College. Successful in business and investing long before he taught at our university for $1 per year, Ron Richards wrote the latest national debt numbers on the blackboard each day of class. This was back in 1984-5.  However, once during a meeting that I had with him, he told me why he taughter us for $1 per year. He told me that he hoped to train future leaders that would rise at the proper time and help lead the United States during the dark times that he knew would come at some point. Until he and his wife died in a car accident in the early 1990s, he trained Baby Boomers and Gen Xers.

Now, in 2024, we are fitted to the moment!

Until next time!
